With our patented entropy measurement technology, we offer battery diagnostics and state-of-health predictions with unmatched accuracy.

🎯 Why this role is for you:

Entroview performs Li-ion cell characterization and diagnostics, particularly for State of Health (SOH), State of Charge (SOC), and end-of-line testing in factories. We work throughout the battery life cycle—from production in gigafactories to in-use diagnostics and end-of-life assessments. Our first product already enables these characterizations at the module level.

The purpose of this role is to contribute to implementing our technologies in new use cases and improve existing diagnostics.

As a battery engineer, you’ll play a key role in the development of our new solutions. At the heart of our R&D team, you’ll contribute to both internal research projects and collaborations with automotive industry partners.


 

đź’Ľ Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product development teams to continuously improve our diagnostic methods (e.g., research into reducing test times, degradation modes, etc.)
  • Conduct technological monitoring of battery diagnostics and prognostics; propose and assess new diagnostic approaches.
  • Develop multiphysics models for Li-ion cells and modules.
  • Experimentally validate modeling results in close cooperation with the laboratory lead.
  • Process and analyze data using appropriate tools (Excel, Python, etc.)
  • (Optional) Contribute to the development of machine learning-based diagnostic and prognostic models, in coordination with our data science experts and industrial partners.

 

🧑🏻‍🎓 What we’re looking for: You hold an engineering degree with at least 2 years of experience, or a PhD, in the field of Li-ion batteries. You possess skills in materials science and/or electrochemistry applied to Li-ion batteries, ideally with a product-oriented mindset (experience at module or pack level is a plus).

You are autonomous, motivated, proactive, and ready to thrive in an applied research environment working alongside industrial partners.

 

🧑🏻‍🔧 Required skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Li-ion batteries at the cell level
  • Proficiency in programming and data analysis (Python)
  • Experience in Li-ion battery performance diagnostics
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation and measuring current, voltage, and temperature
  • Precision and rigor in research and documentation

 

🧑🏻‍🔧 Optional skills:

  • Knowledge of Li-ion batteries at the module and pack levels
  • Experience in multiphysics modeling (e.g., COMSOL or equivalent)
  • Background in machine learning for battery diagnostics or prognostics (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch…)
