The story

behind Entroview

July 2014

July 2014

The Entroview adventure began in July 2014 by a swimming pool. During a barbecue in Singapore, Sohaïb El Outmani met one of the inventors of the Lithium battery. This impromptu encounter led to a great intellectual upheaval and fruitful exchanges that would lead Sohaïb to a joint thesis at GIPSA-lab (Grenoble INP – UGA, UGA, CNRS) and at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore starting from August 2015.
A thesis co-directed by Olivier Sename and Pierre Granjon, both lecturers-researchers at GIPSA-lab.

Two patents are then filed on the research results.

Sohaïb and his two thesis supervisors discover the possibilities offered by the understanding of the entropy of Lithium-Ion batteries and the potential applications allowing for better characterization and diagnosis of these.

February 2019

February 2019

In February 2019, the Entroview project is officially supported by SATT Linksium, through a maturation program allowing for further developments within the Gipsa Lab.

December 2019

December 2019

In December 2019, during a presentation at Bercy, during the Ecotech Energy meetings, Sohaïb meets Gaëtan Depaëpe who is seduced by the project.

In February 2020, Sohaïb is the winner of the I-Phd competition, and during the year the project takes shape, and in September 2020, following the advice of the SATT, he decides to look for a CEO to accompany him in the adventure.

July 2021

At the same time, he finds out that Gaëtan is ending his adventure in the deep-tech start-up that he co-directed, they get back in touch, and after multiple constructive exchanges, they decide to embark together on the entrepreneurial adventure in December 2020 and to partner in the creation of the start up which will be officially launched in July 2021.

Today

Today

In a remarkably short time, Entroview has successfully secured numerous proof of concept (POC) validations and expanded valuable partnerships, demonstrating the efficiency and value of our unique entropy method analysis.

Most importantly, we have proved our commitment by raising $1.6M to revolutionize battery diagnostics for gigafactories and automotive companies. This round, led by AFI Ventures and Rethink Ventures, will enable us to expand our team and solution to address the urgent need for advanced battery diagnostics.
Today, we are a dynamic group of 12 experts, each bringing a unique skill set and perspective to the table. We are united by a shared vision and passion for advancing the field of battery diagnostics and contributing to a more sustainable future.

The missions

we focus on daily

Battery Efficiency

We provide precise SOC and SOH monitoring to enhance efficiency in electric vehicles and energy storage system, with a strong commitment to reducing waste and environmental impact.

Safety

We are dedicated to implementing stringent end-of-line checks, ensuring safer batteries and mitigating risks as part of our mission, with an aim to reduce incidents and scraps in gigafactories.

Sustainability

Our mission includes prolonging battery life, reducing replacements to conserve resources, and offering potential for batteries’ second life.

Energy Transition

We are actively on a mission to support the adoption of clean energy and accelerate the transition towards a sustainable future.

Economic Growth

Driving innovation in various industries, promoting economic growth, and advancing a more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally conscious society are core to our mission.
